The entire area has a risk for severe storms Tuesday afternoon. While the threat for severe weather encompasses a large area of the Midwest one area of focus will be near the area of low pressure in the middle of the afternoon. That low pressure pinpoint looks to be in and around the Tri-States. The threat for large hail, damaging wind and tornadoes are all possible. The window for initiation of storms begins after noon but will more likely be focused after 2 pm and should end by 9 pm. We will be closely monitoring the radar and tracking any storms that develop. This would be a good time to check your weather alert radio and make sure you have the WGEM Weather app downloaded.
