(WALA) - The rain coverage begins to ramp up starting today so make sure you have the rain gear close by at all times the next several days. Rain coverage will be in the 70-80% range today through Saturday with Sunny days not returning until Sunday. Moisture will continue to surge out of the Gulf and that will mean high chances for rain/storms.
Severe chances are low, but we’ll still need to stay weather aware. The main issue for us will be the heavy swaths of rain that will push through. It looks like the biggest chance will come after 3 p.m. today. Highs will reach the low 70s today through Saturday with very mild mornings in the low 60s. A cold front blows all of this out Saturday night and we see a clear sky return with cooler air coming back, but in the meantime just plan on warm and wet days.
