ATLANTA (Gray News) - Deaths, injuries and property damage were reported as a large storm front rolled through the South, bringing high winds and torrential rain on Tuesday.

In Houston County, Alabama, an 81-year-old woman died when a suspected tornado struck her mobile home in Cottonwood, authorities told WTVY. She was identified as Charlotte Paschal, the mother-in-law of a Houston County deputy.

Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd said the mobile home she resided in rolled over three or four times when the twister struck. He said he believes Paschal had sought safety in her bathroom. She lived in one of the hardest hit areas during the bad weather outbreak on Tuesday.
