Severe threat this weekend, isolated tornado threat - KBJR 6

AFTERNOON/TONIGHT: This afternoon we will have a 30% of scattered showers with higher chances north of Duluth. After 6pm that chance increases across the region. We will also see a chance of thunderstorms developing after 9pm, mostly north of Duluth. Some of these storms could be strong and produce some large hail and heavy rain. Temperatures will continue to increase overnight from the upper 30′s to the lower 40′s.

SATURDAY: Saturday we will see more showers and thunderstorms. There will also be a chance of severe storms with a greater chance of damaging winds and large hail We also cannot rule out an isolated tornado, especially across Central Minnesota. Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 50′s, but a stiff east wind will keep it cooler by the lake.

SUNDAY: Sunday we will see some wrap-around showers from this system. Expect cloudy skies and breezy winds out of the southwest 10-15mph. Temperatures will start in the 40′s and fall into the 30′s by the end of the day.

MONDAY: Monday we will have mostly cloudy skies and breezy northwest winds. Highs will be in the mid-30′s as colder air moves in behind the departing low. There will also be a chance of some scattered showers.
