- A 20-year-old woman was killed by a falling tree.
- Trees and power lines were reported down in several states.
- More than 100,000 homes and businesses were without power.
At least one person has been killed by a falling tree on the third day of a severe weather outbreak sweeping across the South and Midwest.
Stephen McClellan, emergency management director in Cleveland County, Arkansas, told weather.com Wednesday night that a 20-year-old woman died when a tree fell on a mobile home in the community of Rison, about 45 miles south of Little Rock.
"When we arrived she was already deceased on the scene," McClellan said.
The incident happened at about 4:40 p.m. CDT, when the area was under a severe thunderstorm warning. McClellan said the tree fell on a mobile home. Two other people were at the home but escaped injury.
He said there were multiple reports of downed trees around the county.

Similar reports were coming in from several areas around the South Wednesday night, including downed trees and power lines near Mayfield, Kentucky, which was devastated by a tornado in December.
There were reports of a brick wall collapsed in Jonestown in Coahoma County, Mississippi, about 65 miles southwest of Memphis, and an emergency management official in Desoto County, Mississippi, said people were trapped in a home after a tree fell on it in Olive Branch, a suburb of Memphis.
Multiple tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued around the region.
More than 150,000 homes and businesses were without power in Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky as of about 9:45 p.m. CDT, according to poweroutage.us. The bulk of those were in Kentucky and Mississippi.
The storms are part of a severe weather outbreak sweeping across several states, including a tornado that injured at least 23 people Tuesday in central Texas. Since Monday, there have been hundreds of reports of tornadoes, hail or damaging winds in more than a dozen states.
Storms have knocked down trees and power lines, ripped the roofs off homes and torn buildings apart. More than 100,000 power outages were reported across Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas Wednesday afternoon as areas hit Tuesday continued to assess the damage.

The severe weather is on the warm side of Winter Storm Silas, which is dumping snow across states in the northern U.S., prompting schools to close and highways to shut down.
The threat of tornadoes, damaging winds and hail continues across the East and South through Thursday.
The storms kicked off Monday night with at least one tornado north of Little Rock, Arkansas, and large hail in some areas.
This is the fourth week in a row with a severe weather outbreak in parts of the U.S. About 1,400 reports of tornadoes, high winds or hail have been received by the National Weather Service in the other three severe outbreaks since March 21.
