HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The tropics remain quiet for now. A disturbance in the Atlantic appears to be weakening.
Development is not expected due to dry air and increasing upper-level winds. This system is forecast to drift southwestward or meander for the next few days.

During hurricane season, remain prepared and make sure you download our ABC13 Houston app!
Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to Nov. 30.

Here are some resources that may help in preparation for hurricane season:
