An unsettled weather pattern is now in store through the rest of the week.
Officially, there is a slight chance for severe weather Wednesday and again Thursday, but TV-13 meteorologist Doug Meyers says some forecast models indicate a much lower risk of severe storms. A lot hinges on where frontal boundaries set up between now and Saturday.
A lot also hinges on outflow boundaries that will set up as thunderstorms grow, mature and dissipate this week.
If severe storms develop Wednesday, hail would be the main concern. Heavy rainfall is also possible at times through Saturday. The National Weather Service says parts of the KVOE listening area could see 2 to 3 inches of rainfall between now and Saturday, which would increase concerns about flooding after we've already picked up about an inch of rainfall this week after getting close to 2.3 inches of rain last week at the KVOE studios.
