MOUNT HOLLY - Brace yourselves for the next few days as Tropical Storm Isaias is on its way to New Jersey, bringing multiple inches of heavy rainfall and damaging winds across all parts of New Jersey.
A tropical storm warning has been issued along the the entire New Jersey coast until further notice, with tropical-storm-force winds - which are sustained winds from 39 to 73 mph - reaching 58 to 73 mph, according to Alex Staarmann, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service.
In addition, between Monday and Tuesday evenings, the National Weather Service said 3 to 5 inches of rain is expected to fall across most portions of New Jersey, as higher totals is possible. A flash flood watch has also been issued for the state.
"The primary concern with Isaias remains heavy rain leading to flash flooding. Some river flooding is possible but is not expected along the main stem of the Delaware River," the National Weather Service said in its advisory.

There is also a chance of possible isolated tornadoes along the coast and if conditions are looking particularly favorable, a tornado watch may be issued, Staarmann said. Residents near the Shore are advised to take all necessary safety precautions until the storm passes.
"Along the coast, much more humidity... temperatures in the mid-70s to lower-80s, it feels like a steam bath out there," said Steven DiMartino who runs NY NJ PA Weather. "Leading up to the storm, there's still going to be potential for heavier showers and thunderstorms."
Heading into Tuesday, private meteorologists expect the most significant impacts of the storm to hit Tuesday morning into the evening hours. Heavy rain is expected to expand throughout the region and continue throughout the day into Wednesday morning, according to DiMartino.
Inland New Jersey is currently under a tropical storm watch, but that could be elevated to a tropical storm warning or canceled depending on how conditions play out, Staarmann said.
