During the late evening and overnight hours, storms are expected across Western Kansas, especially along the Kansas-Colorado state line. These storms are expected to track to the southeast during the overnight and will eventually slide out of KAKEland very early Wednesday morning. The most likely threats with storms will be high wind gusts over 60mph and some hail stones that could hit ping pong ball size (1.5"). While a tornado or two can't be completely ruled out they do look unlikely this evening into the overnight. Overall severe storm coverage is expected to be fairly limited with this event and all of the severe weather should stay west of Wichita.
