The tornado warning that was in place for Grand Forks County has been canceled, the National Weather Service tweeted at 5:35 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm warning for large hail and damaging winds is in effect for part of the county.

"Rotation not as strong but still bears watching!" the weather service tweeted.
City sirens, which were going off around 5:15 p.m., are no longer going.
The storm may cause some damage to mobile homes, roofs and vehicles, according to the National Weather Service.
Sirens also were heard in Larimore Monday evening.

It's the second night of stormy weather in the region. Severe storms also came through the Red River Valley Sunday night.
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 11 p.m. in eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota.
