Coronavirus cases hit another single-day peak - Idaho EdNews

For the third time in six days, Idaho has reported a single-day peak in new, confirmed coronavirus cases.

The state reported 365 new, confirmed cases Tuesday. The previous one-day peak was 263 cases, reported Friday.

The state and its health districts reported 6,164 confirmed or probable coronavirus cases Tuesday.

For the month of June, coronavirus cases have more than doubled across the state — prompting Gov. Brad Little to slow down Idaho’s reopening plan, health officials to tighten restrictions in Ada County and Boise State University administrators to close the campus.

Here’s a look at Idaho’s 30-day trends. (May 31 fell on a Sunday, and the state did not release numbers for that date.):
