The North Peak Brewing Company in Traverse City has re-opened up their dining areas to provide patrons with a fun and safe culinary experience. Plus, we get all the details about their take-home meal kits and more.
Fresh, diverse, and wholesome is not what you typically think of when visiting and eating at a pub or bar. The North Peak Brewing Company in Traverse City is all of that and a ‘plate of chips’ with their delicious foods, beers, and take-home meal kits.
Since 1997, this micropub has served its patrons with a wonderful selection of ‘folklore’ themed brews that range from pale pilsners to rich & smooth stouts. This includes the Diabolical IPA, Mission Point Porter, Northern Light, Shirley’s Irish Stout, and the Siren Amber.
Since their establishment, they have expanded to a full-service restaurant that features a mix of traditional bar food with an upscale twist. Diners can enjoy anywhere from pizzas and hot wings to steaks and fish while sipping on an icy cold brew.
They even have healthier options like salads, and a protein bowl with quinoa, fresh spinach, cucumber, grape tomatoes, carrots, pickled onions, toasted almonds, dried cherries, feta, and their house balsamic vinaigrette.
They recently joined the ‘take-home meal kit’ wagon, which allows patrons to enjoy North Peak Dishes freshly made from home. Their flavor-packed kits feature delicious and hearty meals that can be picked up from the restaurant including their signature Hanger Steak.
“We like to use seasonal fruits and vegetables, in addition to local foods from local farms,” says executive chef Cody Hall.
They also offer delivery and carry out services for most of their items.
Like many restaurants during the pandemic, North Peak recently re-opened their doors to the public – with new health procedures. This includes limiting guests inside the restaurant, removing some tables and bar seating to follow social distancing guidelines, screening staff daily for symptoms and recording their temperatures before any shift, disinfecting high traffic areas throughout shifts, and many more procedures.
“We have welcomed these changes and procedures with open arms, and we take them all very seriously, ” said general manager Mike Lloyd. “We want to make sure that when our guests come out that they realize we’re taking every step possible to ensure their safety, and that is the top of our list. We want to show them a good time, and we want to provide a nice environment. But, the number one thing is safety and taking care of our guests and our employees”.
They are still adjusting their hours, so it is wise to call ahead of time at (231) 941 – 7325, or view their updates on their Facebook page.
