Moderate to occasionally heavy rain fell across parts of the KVOE listening area Friday into early Saturday.
The total at the KVOE studios was 0.80 inches. The Emporia Municipal Airport got 0.83 inches.
Several places in the area picked up around an inch of rain, including portions of west Emporia, Lake Kahola and Olpe.
The chance of rainfall has come down considerably for Saturday and it appears most of Father's Day will be dry. However, there is a good chance of showers and thunderstorms for Sunday night into Monday. Some of those storms could be severe with all hazards possible. There is currently a slight-to-enhanced risk for severe weather, with residents south of a line from Council Grove to Reading to Waverly in the enhanced risk area.
