Wednesday: Overcast with showers and t-storms, especially afternoon and evening. The t-storms could be severe. Hi: 76.
A warm and humid southerly breeze will persist through Wednesday and continue to pump moisture into Acadiana. A series of cold fronts will affect the region, the first of which will stall right over the I-10 corridor. This will keep the warm and humid air around until the main cold front pushes through late on Wednesday. The main front will bring a round of potentially severe weather on Wednesday with hail, tornadoes and high wind all possible. The national weather service has put our region in mostly slight risk for severe weather on Wednesday. Once the front pushes through we will see much drier air move in for late-week. It will also get chilly for Thursday into Friday with only 50s for highs and low 40s for lows. The Winter weather will not last as showers and warmer temps return for the weekend into next week before yet another strong cold front is set to move in late on Monday.
