As of Monday morning, we know the Cameron Peak Fire is burning more than 13,000 acres in the Poudre Canyon.
And we've told you that it's located about 40 miles away from Fort Collins as the crow flies and 60 miles of driving distance.
But visualizing size and distance isn't second nature to everyone, so here's a map that shows how much space the fire is taking up compared to the size of Fort Collins.
If the Cameron Peak Fire perimeter were placed on top of Fort Collins, its edges would range from Overland Trail on the west to Interstate 25 on the east, and Vine Drive on the north to nearly Trilby Road to the south. While the fire wouldn't fill that entire area, it does offer a glimpse of the span of the burn area as mapped Monday morning.

Fire impacts on Fort Collins
Some readers have asked whether there could be closures in Fort Collins due to either smoke or fire.
Katie O'Donnell, spokeswoman for the Larimer County health department, says no closures are planned for Fort Collins due to smoke.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has issued air quality warnings due to fires burning in the state.
The health department recommends at-risk people remain inside if smoke becomes thick, particularly those with heart disease, respiratory illnesses, the very young and the elderly.
"If visibility is less than 5 miles in smoke in your neighborhood, smoke has reached levels that are unhealthy," a health department news release Sunday morning stated.
