There will be plenty of heat and humidity today—and that means Central Electric Cooperative is issuing its first peak alert of the season.
The alert asks that home owners conserve power turning off all non-essential electric items.
Also, the CEC asks that items like dehumidifiers, pool pumps, and electric appliances be run outside of the peak period—which is from 1 to 7 p.m.
