A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Fayette and Westmoreland counties until 4:30 p.m.
UPDATE 3:47 p.m.
Over 55,000 people are without power across the area as strong storms continue to move through.
Duquesne Light is reporting that 27,004 customers are experiencing power outages.
West Penn Power is reporting the following outages:
Allegheny: 13,862
Washington: 16,739
