Clear skies and information from infrared mapping made for a good day fighting the Cameron Peak Fire, fire managers say.
The fire did not grow and remains at 102,596 acres, with 4% containment.
Imaging from an infrared flight Saturday showed hot spots that ground crews were able to directly attack.
Crews held the fire line along Colorado Highway 14, in the Buckhorn area and near Pingree Park Road. Hotshot crews put out hotspots and put in direct line in the Buckhorn area where the fire crossed Pingree Park Road, in the Commanche Reservoir area.

DAMAGE: 54 structures destroyed by Cameron Peak Fire
This work will continue for several days, if not weeks, said Cory Carlson, operations planning trainee with the Southwest Area Incident Management Team 3, in a Sunday morning video briefing.
Crews also worked on structure defense in Glacier View and Crystal Lakes areas, "as a precautionary measure" should the fire grow in that direction. Work on a contingency fire line between the fire and structures in those areas also continued.
Structure assessments also continue in north Estes Park and Glen Haven, though snow has prevented some access.
"Really rough country. It's going tot take a long time to get around it all, but we finally do have a good path and I think a pretty good opportunity for success," Carlson said.
The fire might actually see some containment in the next day or two, coming on the west side, Carlson said.
Another infrared flight is expected today.
Sunday's weather is expected to be sunny and bring highs in the 60s, melting snow. But fire activity is expected to be minimal, a morning report stated.

Firefighters are going to continue building direct fire line on the west, north and east sides of the fire.
As fire line is established and maintained at lower elevations, "crews will follow receding snow into higher elevations employing the same tactics by using surge resources for line construction," according to the update.
