Although it's still very warm and humid at the moment, it looks like we will fall just short of having our first official heatwave of the summer, with our high today reaching only 89.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued for the entire region through 9 p.m., but a Flood Watch was issued for only two of our counties. These counties are Ulster and Dutchess.
Once the storms exit the area, we'll see skies clearing with the arrival of a refreshing airmass. Lows will range from 70 in the city, to the upper 50s in our northern suburbs. This will set the stage for a spectacular Sunday that features mostly skies, lower humidity, and highs in the lower 80s.
