Today: Afternoon highs warm into the upper 90s as the heat index climbs potentially up to 104 degrees. After 4 PM this afternoon, storms will begin in northern portions of Mid-Missouri eventually becoming more widespread heading into the overnight hours where the potential for severe storms increases. The main impacts remain winds up to 70 mph, 1" hail, and localized possible flash flooding. The severe potential decreases after 2 AM in the region.
Tonight: Showers and storms continue throughout the overnight hours with storms eventually exiting to the southeast after 3 PM with a few lingering isolated cells still pushing through southern portions of Mid-Missouri towards Pulaski and Phelps counties.
Extended: Thursday continues to see chances of a few scattered showers and storms remaining well-below severe standards. Friday welcomes more widespread chance of showers and storms during the afternoon and overnight hours exiting by Saturday morning. Saturday and Snday sees hgihs back towards the 90 degree mark.
