KANSAS CITY, Mo. — UPDATE, Tuesday, 9:55 p.m. | A Tornado Warning for Daviess, Grundy, Harrison and Livingston counties in Missouri have been put in place until 10:30 p.m, while Trenton, Jamesport, and Gilman City will experience a Tornado Warning through 10:15 p.m.

Strong thunderstorms will impact areas of northeast Wyandotte County, northwest Miami County, eastern Johnson County, Kansas, Clay, southwestern Platte County and Jackson County through 10:45 p.m.

UPDATE, Tuesday, 9:35 p.m. | The National Weather Service has canceled a Tornado Warning for Caldwell and DeKalb counties.

The Tornado Warning in Daviess county remains in place after a thunderstorm experts say is capable of producing a tornado was seen near Gallatin.

ORIGINAL STORY | The Kansas City area and points west are included in a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service says the watch, which includes Lawrence, Topeka, Emporia and stretching southwest to Wichita, remains in effect until midnight Wednesday.
