Peak to Peak Charter School board member Ari Axelrod recently was recalled, with 88% of those who voted approving the recall.

Altogether, 820 parents and staff members, out of 1,828 who were eligible to participate, voted in the recall election. At 45% of eligible voters, that exceeded the 30% threshold required for a recall to be successful.

Four candidates ran to replace him, with David Woo receiving the most votes. Woo will finish the remainder of Axelrod’s two-year term on the board of the K-12 Lafayette school.

Four members of the Peak to Peak community initiated the recall, saying Axelrod didn’t meet board member behavior expectations or follow conflict management and conflict of interest guidelines.
