The system that brought the severe storms across the Central U.S. over the past few days will continue to head towards the Atlantic Coast this week. As the energy moves East, it will trigger strong to severe storms from the Mid South to the Mid-Atlantic Coast. Here is the very latest on the severe risk for Wednesday and Thursday.
Severe risk will be isolated for areas of Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio from Wednesday morning to Wednesday evening.
The main risks will be damaging winds and tornadoes for these areas. Again the risk is looking mostly isolated, but it only takes one storm to create a danger.
The storms that linger into the early morning on Wednesday will likely keep going through the morning and afternoon. During the afternoon there will likely some isolated strong storms capable of damaging winds and large hail.
On Thursday, the severe risk will shift more to the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast. Cities like Philadelphia and Baltimore could see large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes.
Storms will be pushing through during the morning, but the severe risk will likely pick up during the afternoon and early evening hours. Here is the latest timing for the storms in this region.
