I lived in Dragon Lodge in the late 70s (“The haunting of Dragon Lodge”, House & Home, June 5) and saw the ghost frequently. Philip Haddon-Cave, at the time the Hong Kong financial secretary, told me it was the first house built on The Peak by a Chinese family. He added that the large carved dragon was placed over the door to protect the house, according to Feng Shui custom.
