Another round of rainfall Monday with a threat of severe storms - KBJR 6

TONIGHT: As the main round of rain came through midday, scattered to isolated showers are still possible during the overnight hours. Overcast skies will continue keep temperatures from dropping too much. Lows will fall to around 50-degrees tonight with calmer winds from the east between 5-10 mph. As one system leaves, another system develops over the Midwest bringing more chances of showers and storms on Monday. Keep the umbrella handy!

MONDAY: Another Colorado system will develop during the overnight hours into Monday bringing a strong warm front towards the Northland. This will develop more showers and storms for the western part of the Northland during the morning hours. Some heavy downpours are possible for areas like International Falls down to Grand Rapids and Bemidji. For the rest of the Northland, it will be overcast. Through most of the day, it will be overcast to mostly cloudy with temperatures gradually warming up as the warm front moves over. Highs will eventually reach the mid to upper 60s by late afternoon. Winds will be breezy from the east-southeast between 15-25 mph. By late afternoon into evening, the next round of storms will develop along a cold front. This could bring severe weather for the Northland as the SPC issued a marginal risk for severe weather across the Northland. Main threats are strong winds and pea-size hail. Temperatures will fall back to the lower 50s by late Monday.

TUESDAY: Once the Colorado system moves out, high pressure will bring sunshine for Tuesday and most of Wednesday. Temperatures will warm back up to the upper 60s and 70s for Tuesday with calmer winds. Winds will be from the southwest between 5-10 mph bringing in the warmer climate. Lows will fall back to the lower 50s and upper 40s with mostly clear skies. The next round of storms will come late Wednesday night into Thursday.
