Chase County severe thunderstorm warning canceled; heavy storms continue across area - KVOE

Heavy thunderstorms are moving across the KVOE listening area Sunday evening.

Chase County was under a severe thunderstorm warning for nearly an hour for the risk of hail and wind. So far, there have been no reports of severe weather.

The thunderstorm that rolled over Emporia around 7 pm dropped 0.40 inches of rainfall before leaving the area. The same complex brought 0.25 inches to the Emporia Municipal Airport.

More storms are possible into early Monday.
