The National Weather Service (NWS) is keeping an eye on the possibility of severe weather in the Nebraska Panhandle and southeastern Wyoming Tuesday.
The NWS Storm Prediction Center has placed virtually all the panhandle and the eastern edge of Wyoming in a slight risk for severe weather this afternoon.
Officials say storms are expected to form in Wyoming early this afternoon and make their way east throughout the day. The NWS expects Nebraska will see thunderstorms starting around 6 p.m.
The NWS says there is a chance for isolated tornadoes in the central and southern Panhandle. This includes cities like Sidney, Kimball, Bridgeport, Alliance, Scottsbluff in Neb. and Chugwater, Wyo.
The main threats with these storms are strong winds and hail up to the size of golf balls.
