CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A cool night is upon us as winds continue to increase to above breezy speeds. Rain showers look to clear out going into the night, with quieter conditions popping up Monday morning. However, as ridging continues, heat will persist throughout the state over the coming days.
Sunshine will begin the morning hours as clouds move into much of Central and Southern Wyoming going into the early afternoon hours. isolated thunderstorms and rain showers are going to be expected early afternoon. There is a marginal risk in place for areas in the NE section of Wyoming. These storms are very likely to turn severe and could produce: large hail, strong winds & the possibility of a tornado cannot be ruled out. Again this is for the early afternoon hours as temperatures remain above average with Central areas in the 90s and southern into the 80s. Remember to Hydrate & do not keep children/pets in the car during these hot temperatures.
Winds will continue to be within 15-25 MPH for much of the SE region of Wyoming throughout the night and into the southern areas.
Takeaways: expect storms & gusty conditions with small to large hail Monday afternoon. Furthermore, expect the heat to continue throughout Monday. Lastly, the stationary frontal boundary will be in place for the next few days which will prompt chances of seeing activity in the early part of this week.
