HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - A cold front is going to still thru the viewing area on Tuesday, bringing a large range in high temperatures. High temperatures will range from the mid 50s northwest to the mid 80s southeast. Winds will be rather breezy out of the north northeast behind the cold front at 10 to 20 mph. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. Most of any rain will hold off until Tuesday evening. There may be some isolated severe storms. While the threat isn’t very high, some showers and thunderstorms may contain some large hail. A strong wind gust can’t be ruled out. A few showers linger into late Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Lows tomorrow night will drop back into the 40s north and west and 50s to the south and east. There’s still a slight chance of rain Wednesday morning, otherwise, mainly dry by the afternoon. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. Highs will mostly be in the 60s around the area, leading to one of the cooler days this week.
Beyond Wednesday, the forecast looks like it’ll be mostly dry through the weekend. It’ll be sunny and breezy on Thursday with highs in the mid to upper 60s and lower 70s. Skies will be mostly sunny on Friday with warmer temperatures in the mid to upper 70s and lower 80s. Saturday could be another toasty one with highs in the mid to upper 80s under partly cloudy skies. Sunday won’t be quite as toasty, but still warm with highs in the mid 70s north to mid 80s south as cooler air begins to return early next week. Look for partly cloudy skies.
