The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Greater Morristown through 6 o’clock this evening, April 21, 2021.
One-inch hail, 60 mph winds, and tornadoes are possible, according to the forecast:
At 143 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Netcong to near Hopewell, moving east at 30
mph.
Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to
roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.
People at the Morris County Mega Site (Rockaway Townsquare Mall) should seek safe shelter immediately!
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 24 and 42.
Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 30 and 49.
Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 3 and 52.
