Severe weather possible Monday night across Northland - Duluth News Tribune

Severe storms moving east across the Northland are possible Monday evening, according to the National Weather Service Duluth.

The storms may bring large hail, damaging wind, isolated tornados and flash flooding starting after 6 p.m. near Brainerd. Moving east, the storms could reach Duluth between 9 p.m. and midnight, according to the NWS.

The strongest risk of severe storms is in the Brainerd area, and the risk lessens for counties located to the east.

There is a "medium" risk of flash flooding throughout much of the Northland as well, NWS reported.
