TODAY: High pressure brings mostly clear skies with highs in the mid 80's and lows in the mid 60's. Winds will be light and variable. We could see a couple stray showers due to the heat of the afternoon. We'll see a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms into the overnight.
WEDNESDAY MORNING: We'll see storms move through from west to east in MN as a shortwave trough moves through the region. Some of these storms could be strong to severe, with the main threats being large hail, strong winds, and heavy downpours. We should see storms in the western portions of our region between 4-7 AM, and they'll move eastward throughout the morning. Highs will be in the mid 80's. We'll see a little break in the action before some more severe storms move through in the evening.
WEDNESDAY EVENING: A warm front brings a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms. These have the potential to be severe, with the main threats being large hail, strong winds, heavy downpours. A couple of tornadoes can't be ruled out as well. The timing looks to be between the mid-afternoon through early Thursday morning. Severe weather should settle down as we pass sunset. Lows will be in the mid 60's.
THURSDAY: We'll see a 30% chance of lingering showers and thunderstorms as our system moves out of the region. Highs will be in the mid 80's with mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the lower 60's as skies begin to clear.
FRIDAY: We'll see partly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 80's and lows in the lower 60's.
SATURDAY: Partly cloudy skies persist through Saturday. We'll see a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms with highs in the lower 80's and lows in the lower 60's.
