WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WREX) —Many residents in the Stateline had questions after a sirens went off Tuesday night during a severe thunderstorm in the region.
According to the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office, the sirens were activated due to the severe thunderstorm warning and high winds in the county.
Dozens of residents also received a public alert message on their phone regarding a tornado in Rockton.
As of 6:55 p.m., the National Weather Service has not confirmed any tornadoes in the Stateline.
