On Friday evening, NBC 5 Chief Meteorologist Rick Mitchell said hail the size of tennis balls was likely in a severe storm that swept across portions of Collin County at about 7 p.m. Videos shared with NBC 5 at iSee@NBCDFW.com showed damage to cars and trees. Elsewhere, hail ranging from the size of peas to quarters was reported in other parts of Dallas-Fort Worth.
