- Tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds are possible.

The first dangerous storms of the day are erupting across the Midwest with 90 mph gusts and tennis ball size hail as a widespread severe outbreak gets underway.
They have already produced tennis ball size hail and 90 mph gusts in the Quad Cities, which is located along the border between Illinois and Iowa, and are now headed into Chicagoland.
Rounds of severe thunderstorms are expected today from the Midwest to the Mid-South with the potential for strong tornadoes, very large hail and destructive wind gusts.
Additional thunderstorms will erupt from Iowa to Texas as this event unfolds through Wednesday.
