SPC has the area in a level 2 out of 5 (slight risk) for severe storms. The primary threats will be damaging wind gusts, heavy rainfall and small hail.

After a few thunderstorms in northern Kentucky around midday, we heat up this afternoon. The heat combined with the mugginess will provide the perfect environment for strong storms.

Storms will begin in northern Kentucky first around 6 or 7 p.m. this evening. We could get several rounds of storms dropping in from the north during the overnight hours. Storms will continue to head south by 4 or 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.
