Bills peak in the top 5 of this week's NFL power rankings - BuffaloBills.com

After a resounding 35-0 whitewash of the Dolphins in Week 2, there is a greater variance in ranking for the Bills across the various Power Rankings listings, although they are universally in the top 10 across the board. Here is a healthy sample of where some believe Buffalo stands after splitting their first two games.

4. Buffalo Bills (1–1)

Last week: Win at Miami, 35–0
Next week: vs. Washington

Here's where the rankings started to get a little tricky for me, with a few teams I thought about putting No. 4. Let's go with the Bills, who let the Steelers score 17 points in the fourth quarter of their Week 1 loss, but have allowed six points total in the other seven quarters they've played combined.

5. Bills
The workmanlike Bills put a beatdown on the division-rival Dolphins and regained their swagger. The performance was far from perfect, but it showcased the squad's long-term potential when the offense, defense and special teams are on the same page.

5. Buffalo Bills (1-1)

Previous rank: No. 6

The Bills took out a week of frustration on the poor Dolphins. Devin Singletary and Zack Moss combined for three touchdowns, and the Buffalo defense was ruthlessly effective in a 35-0 win in Miami. The Bills sacked Tua Tagovailoa twice in the game's opening possession, then knocked the QB out of the game with another crunching hit on Miami's second series. The opening display of ferocity set the tone for a one-sided affair that reaffirmed Buffalo's standing as a conference superpower while prompting a reexamination of where the Dolphins actually belong in the AFC pecking order. The Bills remain the class of the AFC East: Come correct or prepare to be embarrassed.

5. Buffalo Bills (1-1)

Previous ranking: 5

Fantasy surprise: RB Devin Singletary

The Bills' offense finished 20th in rushing yards per game in 2020 (107.7). The offense becoming more balanced this season would be big for the team going forward. Thus far, Singletary has shown that he is up to the task. While his 46-yard touchdownrun versus[the Dolphins was his first score of the year, he is already one TD away from matching his career high in rushing scores for a season. Singletary also is averaging 6.42 yards per carry -- fourth most among league running backs. He has stepped into the role of starting running back and should continue to have significant opportunities.
