Our warm stretch of weather will continue tomorrow, but it will come to an end as a cold front moves through later in the day. This front will also bring showers and storms to the area, some of which could become strong or severe.
It looks like the best timing for showers and storms tomorrow will be from about 3-7 PM, with storms mainly east of the Illinois River before 5 and closer to I-39 and I-55 between 5 and 7.
Severe weather chances are limited, but non-zero tomorrow.
We'll have ample wind shear, but the lack of instability could limit how strong any storms will get.
If any storms become strong or severe, it looks like high winds would be the primary threat. Isolated wind gusts up to 50-60 mph could be possible.
Our tornado risk tomorrow is low, but again non-zero due to the high amount of wind shear that will be present. We can't completely rule out an isolated tornado, especially near and north of I-74.
Expect windy conditions throughout the day, even outside of any showers and storms.
Wind gusts tomorrow could be as ahead of 40-45 mph ahead of the front.
Expect big changes to our temps later this week behind the front as highs dip into the 50s.
