The Broadmoor Manitou & Pikes Peak Railway is undergoing the finals stages of a long renovation and upgrading project, and one major milestone is now complete. Earlier today, crews put some of new railcars on the track and are one step closer to being done with the renovations. Other construction crews continue to work on the main depot house, while several cars and a snow-clearing engine have yet to arrive at the depot. The last time the track and railway underwent a major facelift was over 100 years ago. Among the upgrades for the new railway system are all new tracks, new cars, new engines and a refurbished depot house.
